SERIAL NUMBER
Your e-bike has a unique serial number associated with it. The serial number is located on the front of the head tube, just below the Bleubird logo. Please record your serial number in page 5 of this manual. You will be asked for your e-bike's serial number for any warranty claims. You may also be asked to provide this number to law enforcement in the event that your e-bike is stolen.

COMPONENTS
Ensure all components are properly secured and correctly tightened before riding. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death. All components should be tensioned to the torque specified in the Recommended Torque Values section of the included manual. Refer to the Table of Contents at the beginning of the manual for the page number of this section. This includes but is not limited to: pedals, handlebars, handlebar clamp, crank arms, seat, and seat post clamp. Make sure that the stem and the seat are tightened so they cannot be twisted out of alignment by hand.

ELECTRICS

Ensure all cables and connectors at the front of the e-bike are securely connected or certain components may not work, including the front light, the brake cut-off switches and the LCD display. The brake cut-off switches shut the motor off as soon as the rider engages the brakes. If these switches are not operational, it will take longer to slow down, which in some riding situations could cause injury or death to the rider.

INITIAL SERVICE

After any bicycle purchase, it is strongly advised that you get a follow up service/checkup after 4-6 weeks of use.

All bikes, including our e-bikes, have a settling in period. After the initial set-up either in store, or at home, components may loosen or slacken quite quickly.

We strongly recommend that you take your bike to a qualified bicycle mechanic to give it it's first service/safety check. Things they should be checking are as follows and not limited to: Brake tension, Gear tension, Torque values for handlebars, headset, stem, crank arms, brake discs, brake callipers, Spoke tension, Wheel Alignment, Tyre Pressure, Transmission.

These checkups are required for your own safety. Failure to properly service your e-bike may result in injury and will void warranty.
